The College of Education / Qurna at the University of Basra organized a scientific symposium entitled (The employee’s integrity is the beacon of his work)..

 The symposium aimed to establish the principle of integrity in functional administrative dealings in administrative work in general and university administration in particular.

 The symposium, in which Professor Dr. Ali Darab Shaaban and Assistant Lecturer Ali Badr Jabbar lectured, included the legal and moral aspects through which the purified Islamic Sharia commands workers in the public and private sectors to clean their hands of money, whether public or private.

 As for the legal aspect, it stipulates the deterrent administrative and penal penalties for an employee who violates the principle of integrity through the State Employees Discipline Law and the Iraqi Penal Code in force.

 The symposium recommended that employees in general protect themselves and their subordinates from any breach that might expose the employee to legal accountability, not to mention that they protect their career historyfrom everything that might tarnish that history
