A teacher at the University of Basra publishes research in an international journal.

The assistant teacher (Saif Muhammad Jassim Al-Maliki), teaching at the Qurna College of Education at the University of Basra, from the English Department, published a research entitled (Social Shyness and its Relationship to Poor Classroom Participation in Female Secondary Students) in an American peer-reviewed journal with international standards.

The research aims to reveal “the relationship between social shyness and poor classroom participation among female secondary school students.”

The research included an introduction to the research variables and a review of the psychological and social theory directly related to the research variables.
