The Department of Arabic Language in the College of Education-Qurnah was established  in the academic year 2011 according to the University Order No. 8118/3 dated 23.10.2011. Then, evening study was opened in 2014-2015. After that, Master Study Program was launched in the academic year 2018-2019. The department includes approximately (900) students in the morning and evening studies.
