The University of Basra holds the Second International Life Sciences Conference for Biological Sciences and Applications

The College of Education in Qurna, Department of Life Sciences, held the Second International Life Sciences Conference for Biological Sciences and Applications for the period 12/27-28/2023 under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education/Qurna, Professor Dr. Adnan Sultan Al-Sultan, and in cooperation with Lukoil Company. Russian and contributed by Al-Bayan International Company under the slogan ((Biological Applications: Horizons and Aspirations))

 

 

 The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Adnan Al-Sultan, explained that this conference is a festival that celebrates science, honors researchers, and opens broad scientific horizons, in addition to being a platform for launching communication channels between Iraqi and international universities. He also explained the primary goal of holding the conference is to create a scientific platform for researchers in various sciences and activate the university’s role in community development. And the homeland.

 

 The conference hosted prominent academics and experts from inside and outside Iraq in order to ensure the continuity of scientific cooperation between educational institutions inside and outside Iraq.

 

  The first day of the conference witnessed the opening session in the central hall of the Qurna College of Education, which included reading verses from the Holy Quran and reading Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs. This was followed by the playing of the national anthem. Then the conference included various scientific sessions that dealt with a wide range of scientific topics in various research fields for biological applications that constitute... Strategies for modern and future scientific projects that keep pace with scientific development and enrich scientific research with scientific ideas and innovations in the medical, agricultural and environmental specialties.

 As for the second day, the closing sessions were held on the presidential yacht of the University of Basra. The session witnessed other inspiring and interesting presentations by distinguished researchers. The sessions discussed multiple visions, in-depth analyses, questions and discussions that enrich scientific research.

 These unique presentations and rich discussions provided a comprehensive and detailed overview of expanding the horizons of knowledge and scientific exchange between researchers, which contributes to deepening understanding, raising the level of scientific awareness, and strengthening the bonds of cooperation between Iraqi and international universities.
