The University of Basra, the College of Education, Al-Qurna, hosted the 34th International Cultural Festival of Al-Mirbad, which is held by the Writers and Writers Union in Basra, for the course of the poet Ibrahim Al-Khayyat.  The official of the Union of Writers and Writers in Al-Qurna indicated that the festival is being held for the first time in Al-Qurna district, north of Basra, and the Qurna College of Education was honored to host it.
