University of Basrah Holds the Fifth Performance Evaluation Conference at the College of Education – Al-Qurna

The College of Education – Al-Qurna at the University of Basrah held its fifth performance evaluation conference for the academic year 2024–2025, under the slogan "Evaluation is a Curriculum for Creativity and a Ladder for Development," in the presence of a delegation from the University Presidency and a number of the college's professors, staff, and students.

The conference opened with a welcoming speech delivered by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Darb Shaban, during which he reviewed the college's vision, mission, and its role in preparing competent educational cadres, as well as the stages of the college's establishment and the development of its scientific departments.

The scientific session was addressed by Assistant Professor Dr. Hadi Khalaf Rasan, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, who reviewed the status of scientific research and the participation of the college's faculty in scientific conferences, in addition to postgraduate affairs and success rates.

Assistant Professor Dr. Sajjad Abdul-Ghani Abdullah, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, discussed the student affairs session, reviewing the number of students in both morning and evening studies, as well as admission and success rates.

In the administrative session, Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Nouh, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, presented an overview of the organizational structure, the operational budget, and human resources, highlighting the most prominent achievements during the evaluation year.

The conference concluded with the quality assurance session presented by Assistant Instructor Dirgham Sabah Lafta, Head of the Quality Assurance Division, where he reviewed the self-evaluation, the improvement plan, and program accreditation, in addition to identifying strengths and weaknesses and ways to address them, alongside honoring a number of distinguished professors and employees.
