The College of Education in Al-Qurna at the University of Basrah organized a scientific seminar to activate the role of cognitive development in sustaining the mind and ensuring its continuous renewal through science and knowledge, in the presence of an elite group of esteemed professors, researchers, and employees.

This seminar aims to shed light on the concept of cognitive development and its pivotal role in building a mind capable of critical thinking and continuous learning. It also seeks to demonstrate the impact of investment in knowledge on the sustainability of mental capacities and facing the accelerating challenges of the era. It further aims to enhance awareness of the importance of developing the mind as a basis for sustainable human development.

The seminar included a research paper presented by the lecturers, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Mustafa Mahous and Dr. Al-Hamza Abdul-Zahra, which included methods and techniques for the sustainability of minds and ensuring their renewal and continuity, and how economic, social, and cultural development influenced the continued supply of the country with minds and creativity for the renaissance of nations and the persistence of progress. The seminar also involved a group of extensive scientific discussions that enriched the presented topics.
