University of Basra Holds Course on the Integrity of the Arabic Language

The College of Education - Al-Qurnah at the University of Basra held a training course titled "Integrity of the Arabic Language" (or "Soundness of the Arabic Language"). This was organized within the framework of cooperation with the administrative units in Al-Qurnah district, and in coordination with the District Commissioner, with the aim of enhancing the university's role in community service and building bridges of communication with state institutions.

The course included a series of specialized lectures that addressed the most important linguistic and spelling rules, in addition to presenting common examples of errors made by non-specialists, along with practical explanations for correcting them.

The course aimed to solidify the integrity of the Arabic language as the language of the Holy Qur'an, promote awareness of its importance in official discourse and administrative correspondence, and enable participants to improve their linguistic performance in different work environments.

The lectures focused on training the participants—who are employees of government departments in the district—on proper writing skills, correcting common errors, and raising their level of linguistic competency, thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of official correspondence.
