The College of Education / Qurna launches an afforestation campaign for the college's gardens under the slogan "Planted today for the future of future generations"

The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Education Qurna at the University of Basra, Eng. Fadila Qasim Saleh, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organised a voluntary campaign for afforestation and restoration of the college's gardens in support of preserving the environment and in an effort to confront climate change.

The campaign aimed to enhance the foundations and principles of a pure and model environment, which requires providing a healthy climate and a suitable environmental atmosphere for the employees of the college, as well as improving the aesthetic appearance of the college's courtyards to enhance environmental sustainability, as this in turn causes many positive variables that will affect the increase in green spaces and the number of perennial trees as a key factor in humidifying the atmosphere, as it will contribute to strengthening the green belt and reducing temperatures.

A group of college staff from teaching and administrative roles from all departments of the college, represented by the Department of Arabic and English, as well as the Department of Life Sciences and Chemistry, participated in the planting campaign to spread a sense of responsibility for each individual in maintaining a clean environment.
