The College of Education/Qurnah at the University of Basra staged a play embodying the incident of the martyrdom of the Emir of the Belgians, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), which was held by the Arabic Language Department in cooperation with the Al-Antazir Cultural Center in the presence of the faculty and students in the central hall of the college.

The ceremony included the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a theatrical performance depicting how the imam was assassinated during prayer.

The goal of the ceremony is to deliver a message to the whole world about the faith, courage, and wisdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), from which the students and recipients can draw inspiration from stories and lessons.
