The College of Education, Qurna, at the University of Basra, held a panel discussion on a study (Evaluation of the effectiveness of aloe vera gel extracts as an antibacterial in and out of the body and as an anticancer)

 The study included isolating and characterizing different clinical bacterial models and testing their sensitivity towards alcoholic and aqueous aloe vera plant extracts in vitro & in vivo, in addition to diagnosing the active compounds in these extracts and testing their toxicity on normal and cancerous cell lines.
