The College of Education, Qurna, at the University of Basra, held a panel discussion on the study (the prevalence and molecular characterization of the parasite Trichomonas Vagenalies and its relationship to the gene expression of host interleukins in northern Basra - Iraq).

 

 The study aimed to determine the prevalence of Trichomonas vaginalis parasite among women in the north of Basra governorate, using conventional and physical examinations. Then the molecular characterization of the parasite and knowledge and understanding of the relationship between genes / enzymes interleukin and mmp12 of the host (human) when infected with this parasite.
