A master's thesis at the University of Basra discusses the study (Abbas Hani Al-Jarakh and his efforts in investigation and criticism)

A master's thesis in the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education Qurna at the University of Basra discussed a study (Abbas Hani Al-Jarakh and his efforts in investigation and criticism) by the researcher Karim Fadi Munadi in the central hall of the College of Education Qurna

The study dealt with Al-Jarakh’s autobiography, translating it briefly, and introducing his most important scientific productions, whether they fall under the subject of the research or what was outside this subject, with a brief definition of some of his books on investigation, as well as mentioning the works that have not yet been printed.

As for the first chapter, it came under the title (Verified Books on Manuscript Originals), and after mentioning these books and explaining their scientific importance, the researcher proceeded to explain the effort made by Dr. This chapter dealt with all parts of the investigation and its complements, starting with collecting copies, proving the title and its authenticity, comparing the copies, and putting an introduction to the investigation with all that it includes of translation of the author, introducing him, and so on, as well as indexes, margins, and artistic direction. The researcher explained through the foregoing The effort made by Dr. Al-Jarakh in extracting it as fully as possible.

Then the second chapter came to discuss the other part of the investigation, which is the investigation on the second narration, as Dr. Al-Jarakh made a lot of investigations, through which he collected the scattered poems of poets in different eras in the stomachs of books, and joined them together after they were dispersed. The researcher divided it into two parts:

The first: Poems collected for the first time and not preceded by another investigator.

The second: poems that Dr. Al-Jarakh re-collected and verified according to the second novel, after other investigators preceded him.

The researcher referred to the previous investigations, and this chapter did not overlook the sequels that Dr. Al-Jarakh made to some books, namely Al-Warqa, The Dictionary of Poets, and The Genealogy of Quraysh and Its News, as he relied in them on the second narration.

The results of the study showed Dr. Al-Jarakh's keenness to take care of the investigation supplements, and Al-Jarakh had valuable critical insights in correcting the mistakes that the investigators made, inadvertently or deliberately.
