A master's thesis at the University of Basra in the College of Education / Qurna Alaa Shaker discussed a study in his narrative achievement by the student in the Department of Arabic Language Nour Sabah Kazem
The study was clearly based on the formal narrative approach. This study consisted of three chapters and a conclusion.
The first chapter entitled (Narrative Patterns and Event Patterns) consisted of two sections.
The second topic dealt with (the event and its formats), and it allocated a space in which it talks about the event and the way it is built, and we stopped at the most prominent constructive patterns of the event used by Alaa Shaker.
As for the second chapter, it was devoted to the study of personality, and it included two chapters preceded by a theoretical approach, in which the study of the nature of personality, its importance, and the critics’ views on it were briefly devoted.
As for the third chapter, it was entitled (Time and Place in Alaa Shaker’s Narratives). It was divided into two sections. The first was entitled (Time), and it opened with a theoretical introduction, then presented the levels of time (the level of arrangement, the level of duration, and the level of frequency).
As for the second research, it came under the title (place), presented a theoretical approach that revealed the critical turns that this element went through, and then talked about the types of place in terms of its relationship (personality, event, and reality).
After these three chapters was the conclusion, which bears the juice of this study and the results we reached through our exploration journey.
