The College of Education - Al-Qurna at the University of Basrah discussed a Master's thesis in the Department of Arabic Language, presented by the student Rawaa Wathiq Shamkhi, entitled "The Poetry of Kadhim Al-Layidh: A Stylistic Study."

The thesis aimed to highlight this distinctive poetic voice as one of the prominent contemporary poets whose literary contributions have spanned over forty years. He is recognized as a powerful voice characterized by calmness, beauty, endurance, depth of experience, and linguistic intensity. The study examined several analytical levels, including the rhythmic level, the linguistic level, and the imagery level, adopting a stylistic approach to analyze the poetic texts and treating the poem as an integrated linguistic structure.
