Publication of Two Translated Books by Faculty at the College of Education - Al-Qurna

Two translated books from English have been published by faculty members at the College of Education - Al-Qurna, University of Basrah. The works were completed by Assistant Lecturer Zain Al-Abidin Salem Mardan, Assistant Lecturer Batool Abdul-Muhsin Miri, and Assistant Lecturer Zaid Nouri Tahir, in cooperation with the Department of Arabic Language at the college. The books are titled "Aesop's Fables" and "Between the Lines of Oscar Wilde."

The first book is a collection of allegorical tales featuring animal characters that carry timeless moral and human values, addressing the reader with simple language and clear intellectual depth. The second book features a collection of short stories by Oscar Wilde, characterized by their philosophical dimensions and satirical style, with special care taken to convey the spirit of the original text and its artistic imagery into Arabic.

These translations aim to bring international literature closer to the Arabic reader and provide content that combines enjoyment with utility, contributing to the enhancement of cultural awareness and the development of literary taste among various segments of readers.
