The College of Education in Al-Qurna at the University of Basra organized a student art festival titled "The Role of Painting and Handicrafts Between Development and Creativity." The event took place in the Deanery courtyard, featuring broad participation from college students and the attendance of several faculty members.

The festival aimed to develop students' creative skills, support artistic talents, and enhance the role of arts and handicrafts in building the student's personality, as well as encouraging reading and spreading culture through book displays.

The festival included an exhibition of a diverse collection of paintings, handicrafts, and artistic models, alongside a special corner for cultural and literary books, which added a distinctive cultural and artistic atmosphere and witnessed great interaction from the attendees.
