The Al-Qurna College of Education at the University of Basrah celebrated the sixty-second anniversary of the university's founding on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in a ceremony attended by official figures from the district along with a distinguished group of faculty, students, and staff. During the event, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Tharb Shaaban, delivered a keynote speech in which he highlighted the University of Basrah’s long-standing journey of academic excellence and its profound role in community service and nation-building, while reaffirming the college’s unwavering commitment to the scientific and educational process.
