Announcement To Postgraduate Students Whose Registration Has Been Terminated

Based on the letter from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, No. (1210-27046) dated March 4, 2026, which includes the regulations for the return of postgraduate students whose registration has been terminated to their studies, students wishing to return must visit their scientific departments to submit return requests. These requests will be considered by the relevant entities according to two tracks:

The First Track:

(Students whose postgraduate registration was terminated for the first time and who have not previously benefited from return regulations)

The conditions for return are to be reviewed as stated in the Ministerial letter for the First Track, and as explained in the announcement of the regulations for returning to postgraduate studies / First Track in the link attached below, which includes the following provisions:

A. Failure in the second round (re-sit exams).

B. Failure in the comprehensive examination.

C. Failure to complete the research within the prescribed period and extensions.

D. Termination of the relationship due to the failure of the two scientific experts to recommend the thesis/dissertation for defense.

The Second Track:

(Students whose registration was terminated and who have previously benefited from return regulations more than once)

The conditions for return are to be reviewed as stated in the Ministerial letter for the Second Track, and as explained in the announcement of the regulations for returning to postgraduate studies / Second Track in the link attached below, which includes the following:

The specialized committee considers return requests for students whose registration was terminated according to the instructions of this track. The return request form and the undertaking must follow the form found on the last page of the return regulations, starting from the first of April 2026 until the first of July. This includes students whose registration was terminated for the following reasons:

A. Students who previously benefited from return regulations.

B. Failure to resume studies after a postponement.

C. Withdrawal from studies after the specified period for commencement according to the application and admission regulations.

D. Failure in more than half of the subjects in the first semester.

E. Failure to provide the study leave within the period specified for it under the application and admission regulations.

F. Absence (whether during the preparatory stage or during the final exams for the first and second semesters).

G. Failure in the second round (re-sit exams).

H. Failure to complete the research within the prescribed period and extensions.

I. Failure in the comprehensive examination.

J. Withdrawal due to employment.

K. Termination of the relationship due to the failure of the two scientific experts to recommend the thesis/dissertation for defense.

L. Termination of the relationship due to failure to complete the drug test.

M. Termination of the relationship due to failure to complete security clearances for application and admission.

N. Cancellation of admission due to violation of the condition prohibiting (the Dean/Assistant Deans/Head of Department and faculty members in the scientific department concerned with the study) from applying for postgraduate studies in the same department/college during their tenure.
