Al-Qurna College of Education at the University of Basra organized a large-scale tree planting campaign throughout the college’s corridors and gardens as part of its efforts to preserve the environment and promote environmental sustainability concepts within the campus.

The campaign included planting a number of various seedlings and plants with the participation of several faculty members, staff, and students, in an initiative aimed at increasing green spaces and improving the university environment, as well as spreading environmental awareness among students and encouraging them to care for and preserve nature.

The college deanship emphasized that this campaign comes within the framework of supporting the environmental orientations of the University of Basra and consolidating the culture of volunteer work and green initiatives that contribute to creating a healthy and sustainable educational environment.

Through these initiatives, Al-Qurna College of Education seeks to enhance the role of academic institutions in community service and contribute to building a clean and sustainable environment for future generations
