The College of Education in Al-Qurna / University of Basrah organized an extensive awareness campaign under the slogan "Preventing Extortion is Everyone's Duty," under the supervision of the Women’s Affairs Unit and in cooperation with the Student Activities Unit, the Educational Counseling Unit, and the Continuing Education Unit. A group of the college's students participated in the campaign, which is part of the extracurricular activities aimed at protecting the university environment from negative phenomena.

The campaign included implementing awareness activities, such as preparing instructional posters and displaying them throughout the campus, with the goal of enhancing community awareness regarding the dangers of extortion.

The campaign aimed to highlight the multifaceted risks of extortion and clarify its negative psychological and social effects on individuals and society, in addition to emphasizing the importance of prevention and reporting.

Furthermore, the campaign focused on enhancing students' digital culture and providing them with the necessary technical knowledge and skills to prevent electronic extortion, thereby contributing to the creation of a safe and supportive university environment.
