The College of Education/Al-Qurna at the University of Basrah organized an awareness seminar titled "Safety First Aid," with the attendance and participation of several faculty members, staff, and students.

The seminar aimed to spread the culture of first aid and increase health awareness among students, contributing to the reduction of the negative impacts of injuries and enhancing the ability to provide initial assistance until specialized ambulance teams arrive.

The seminar featured a lecture presented by Dr. Nadia Kadhim Thamir and Dr. Fadhila Qasim Saleh Al-Ali regarding the importance of first aid and its vital role within the university campus.

The session included both theoretical and practical components on how to deal with emergency situations, such as partial and total choking, epilepsy, and various accidents, in addition to Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
