The College of Education in Al Qurnah held a discussion seminar (the final seminar) titled: "The Effect of Folic Acid and Nano-Compound Fertilizer on Supporting the Efficiency of Salt Tolerance of Henna Plant (Lawsonia inermis L.) in Growth and its Essential and Active Compounds." The seminar was presented by Master's student Fatima Hamad.
Key Focus Areas:
• Scientific Study: The seminar covered a scientific study that investigated the role of folic acid and the NPK nano-fertilizer in improving henna growth under salt stress.
• Mechanism: This improvement was attributed to the treatments' ability to enhance antioxidants and increase the efficiency of nutrient absorption.
• Experiment: The experiment involved different salinity levels and multiple concentrations of treatments, with measurements taken for the plant's morphological, chemical, and physiological characteristics.
• Results: The results showed that salinity reduces plant growth and its vital compounds, while the treatments contributed to increasing the plant's ability to resist stress.
• Recommendation: The study recommended adopting foliar application (leaf spraying) of folic acid and the nano-fertilizer to improve henna productivity in salinity-affected environments.
