The College of Education - Al Qurnah at the University of Basra organized an awareness lecture titled “The Psychological and Legal Effects of Drugs.”

The lecture aimed to raise the level of awareness among undergraduate students regarding the dangers of drugs and their psychological, social, and legal impact.

The lecture, presented by lecturers Ali Bader Jabbar and Saif Muhammad Jasim, reviewed the negative psychological effects of drug abuse on the individual, family, and society, in addition to the legal aspects and the penalties incurred by violators according to local laws.

This initiative comes within the framework of the University of Basra's efforts to enhance health and legal education among its students and to encourage them to adopt sound behaviors that protect them from societal dangers.
