The College of Education / Qurna at the University of Basra held a seminar on studying some chemotactic characteristics of the red and white muscles of the Ross 308 and local chicken breeds by master’s student Bidda Jabbar Nabet Al-Saad.
The study included knowledge of the morphological and biochemical characteristics of the studied muscles, represented by knowing the numbers and diameters of red and white muscle fibers, in addition to estimating the concentration of total protein and the percentages of amino and fatty acids.
The study aimed to determine the nutritional value and meat quality of the two breeds of poultry studied by studying the morphological and biochemical characteristics of the studied muscles of local and imported chickens.
