A scientific study at the University of Basra investigating the environmental dynamics of the Chibaish marshes in southern Iraq: a study on water quality and the genetic affinity of fish.

Research is a scientific study at the University of Basra prepared by the teaching staff, Assistant Professor Dr. Sajjad Abdul-Ghani Abdullah, teacher Kazem Fadel Kazem, Assistant Professor Yasser Wasfi Odeh, and Assistant Professor Dr. Salah Naji Aziz in the Department of Life Sciences / College of Education - Qurna, which was entitled (Ecological dynamics of Al-Chibayish marshes in southern Iraq: Insights into water quality, fish genetic affinity, and conservation implications).
The study, which was published in the international magazine Heliyon, was classified as Q1 and had a Cite Score of 4.5, and was included in the Scopus-Clarvet containers. The aim was a comprehensive study and analysis of the environmental dynamics of the Chibayish marshes. The study reached an understanding of the diversity and abundance of fish within the Chibaish marshes, identified the dominant fish species, and evaluated monthly changes in species composition.
