The Faculty of Education / Al-Qurna at the University of Basra organized a scientific symposium entitled: “Climate change and their effects in Iraq” in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Youth, the Prime Minister.

The symposium aimed to highlight the climate challenges facing Iraq, and their environmental, economic and social impact, in addition to discussing the proposed solutions to address these changes, and the role of youth in achieving environmental sustainability.

The symposium included several axes, including the effects of climate change on Iraq and the regional region, adaptation strategies and reducing its environmental and economic impacts, and the role of youth and society in promoting environmental awareness and climate action.
