The College of Education - Qurna at the University of Basra organized a scientific and cultural symposium entitled “First Stage Students, Our Hope”  
 The symposium aimed to welcome first-year students for the academic year 2024/2025, as well as provide some advice and instructions that focused on adherence to uniforms, as well as attending lectures and not being late for them.The symposium in which he lectured included the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Darab Shaaban, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Assistant Sajjad Abdullah Abdul Ghani, and the Assistant Lecturer Saif Muhammad Jassim, the head of the Guidance Unit in the College.The symposium recommended that students should stay away from all distractions that may cause a decline in their academic level, in addition to observing and adhering to university rules, and staying away from cases of exam cheating because it may cause the student’s university career to end.
