Researchers at the University of Basra publish research in an international journal within Scopus and Clarvit databases

 A research team from the University of Basra, College of Education, Qurna, published by M. Ahmed Hamad and M. Ammar Abdel-Jabbar and M.M. Kazem Fadel researched a research entitled computional study of half-metallic behavior optoelectronic and thermoelectric properties of new XAlN3 (X=K, rb, Cs) perovskites materials

 The results showed that these materials are characterized by a half-metallic characteristic, which is due to the large magnetic moment they possess. They also possess distinctive elastic properties. Considering the energy gap in one of the two electron spin channels, its optical properties were studied and found to have a significant impact on the energy range of the ultraviolet region. These materials have also proven effective in thermoelectric behavior in the P-type region at temperatures up to 1000K, which is essential in designing materials for thermoelectric devices. Perovskite materials are promising candidates for use in various applications in the fields of spintronics, optoelectronics, and thermoelectric devices.
