The Qurna College of Education at the University of Basra held a panel discussion on the study of the biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbons by crude oil-breaking bacteria isolated from oil-contaminated soils in Al-Faw. Iraq

 

 The study included an introductory overview of oil pollution and its impact on the environment and methods of oil pollution treatment (physical treatment, chemical treatment and biological treatment). environment

 The results of the study showed that the use of microorganisms represented by bacteria had a major role in removing crude oil from contaminated soil and in the laboratory.
