The College of Education in Qurna established in 2011 to be a distinguished scientific edifice and actively contribute to achieving the university’s vision and mission. The College started with two departments: Arabic Language and Biology. Today, it includes two extra departments of the English Language and Chemistry.   
The College seeks to expand its graduate programs. Currently, there is master program in the departments of Arabic and Biology and we are looking forward to develop new master program in Chemistry sciences as well as Ph.D. program in Arabic language. In addition, we are working to open undergraduate studies for bachelor’s degree in Physics as well as Physical Education and Sport Sciences to meet the needs of the local market according to a scientific methodology and a deep vision.
At the same time, the College is keen to contribute actively to serving the local community in best ways, whether in the academic or non-academic fields. It is also keen to provide the appropriate environment for the educational process with sincerity and honesty so that our students can obtain the highest degrees of scientific qualification to be able to carry out their duties to the fullest.
In conclusion, I invite my colleagues to be at high level of responsibility and to work in the spirit of one team with our students to be able to carry the message, achieve the vision of the College and University, and serve our community, country and nation.
